COUNTDOWN TO PINK DOT 2011!
SAVE THE DATE: 18 JUNE 2011

Hi everyone!

We’ve been a busy little red dot over the last few weeks, haven’t we! Seeing Singaporeans swept up in the heat of the General Elections and having a say in the country they love – it was so nice for us to see Singapore come together as one.

Now, we hope that everyone will come together again for PINK DOT 2011 to celebrate the freedom to love.

If you believe that Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender people deserve to express their love just like any other Singaporean, come joins us to form a giant PINK dot on June 18, and help us make this statement!

That’s right – in exactly ONE MONTH, Hong Lim Park will play host to a wonderful array of exciting activities, including performances from our PinkDot Ambassadors, the Dim Sum Dollies; Singapore’s favourite Beng, Sebastian Tan; as well as Dave Tan from local indie band Electrico!

Follow our twitter account @PinkDotSG or ‘Like’ us on Facebook to keep in the loop.

Bring your picnic baskets for teatime treats, be entertained by our roving performers or check out the booths of some of our LGBT support groups, who have been providing safe spaces for LGBT people in Singapore.

WHAT: PINK DOT 2011
WHERE: Hong Lim Park
WHEN: Saturday, June 18, 2011
WHAT TO WEAR: Of course, PINK!
TIMINGS: Activities commence 4.30pm

See you there!

Love,
PinkDot
xoxo

Hi, I saw the video of pinkdot through twitter and I've reposted it everywhere in an attempt to educate people and help spread the word. I just want to say the video you guys made is very touching and very real. I applaud the Singapore community and I envy that you guys have a united stand. This makes me want to live in SG. I feel moved by it.

Thank you so much for putting up this campaign, even if I'm not a Singaporean I can say it helps a lot.

Thank you. Good job and best of luck!

Can people from another country attend the support?

Pinkdot is an amazing LGBT movement in Singapore and I fully thank everyone that was a part of making Pinkdot a reality. Although I am in NYC myself, I watched one of your videos on my friend's Facebook and was moved to tears. Pinkdot — it's an extremely simple and beautiful concept and I hope you guys have many years of success. Let us work towards the day the world no longer requires these equality movements.

    Peace & Love,

    TJ

@ magic and Teej: Thanks so much! <3

@Jared Vincent: HI Jared, according to the park's law and regulations, foreigners are not allowed to participate in the event.. However, you're very welcome to observe the event from the outskirts of the park! :)

@FGQ: They're handmade by our volunteers at the moment, and not for sale! But maybe in the future!
