2024 Community Report

No One Left Behind: LGBTQ+ Discrimination and Inclusion in Singapore

A wide-ranging community study on how LGBTQ+ Singaporeans continue to face structural discrimination post-repeal of Section 377A across life stages – at school, work, in healthcare, housing and family. The report draws on research by Milieu Insight including over 900 respondents, as well as over 600 messages written by the public at Pink Dot 16, in consultation with multiple community groups, leaders and experts.

Universal Periodic Review (UPR)
Joint Report 2021

In collaboration with Oogachaga

As part of Singapore’s third Universal Periodic Review (UPR) cycle by the UN Human Rights Council, Pink Dot SG and Oogachaga submitted a joint stakeholder report highlighting the persistent human rights challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals in Singapore. The UPR is a United Nations (UN) Human Rights Council mechanism aimed at improving the human rights situation on the ground of each of the 193 UN Member States. Under this unique mechanism, each Member State undergoes a review of its human rights record every 5 years.

Joint Report 2016

In collaboration with Oogachaga

In 2015, Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) invited several LGBT groups, including Oogachaga and Pink Dot SG, to participate in the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) by the United Nations Human Rights Council, on the state of human rights in Singapore. This culminated in the submission of the joint report by Oogachaga and Pink Dot, as civil society stakeholders, for consideration by the Human Rights Council in January 2016.
